"S" Scroll
These astounding "S" scrolls were copied from an English pine wood carved fire mantel dating from about 1760. Agrell Architectural Carving also carved the central swag with beautiful hanging flowers as well as the side drops. These acanthus scrolls lay on either side of the central swag with the flowers facing down.
Note the exuberance of the volutes that start the acanthus on its inevitable journey. If any of our clients want us to reproduce this masterpiece, we can.
