Detail of a Superb 18th Century Mirror
This 18th century wood carved frame designed by Thomas Johnson and carved by Agrell Architectural Carving is a fine example of the delicate work that can be achieved by a skilled wood carver when compared with a machine.
Note the undercutting and delicate treatment of the acanthus leaves that our wood carvers are able to achieve. These same skills can be put to use in wood carved fire mantels, carved mouldings and carved brackets and capitals.
