Detail of a Neo classical Italian Mirror Frame
This neo classical Italian mirror frame designed to stand on a consul table. A very detailed and demanding wood carved frame with an interlacing band on a torus profile. Hand carving this decoration has to be exactly executed as any blemish or mistake will be noticed very quickly. It therefore requires an extremely high level of skill from our wood carvers. The carved frame is supported by bold acanthus leaves and a dragon's foot.
This is a carver's wood carving and any carver worth his salt would respect this skill. You can't hide a sloppy chisel cut.
